Davenport Community Schools' classrooms are 21st Century Learning Environments with State-of-the-Art Technology. We are home to Iowa's only SmartLab, and we invest in classroom technology such as Virtual Reality and 1:1 Computing so our students are never behind the curve with the latest ways to learn.
Embodiment of this feature: Buffalo Elementary is home to Iowa's only SmartLab, where students are immersed in hands-on lessons that provide opportunities for critical thinking and problem solving through innovation. Students explore robotics, software engineering, coding, mechanics and structures, circuitry, alternative energy, scientific data/analyses, computer graphics, and digital media arts. This new learning environment provides an opportunity for students to discover a wide range of applied technologies that provide real-world learning experiences, and may lead them to a career in the future.
